It will suit someone who has spent years managing high-output muckshifts and large fleets, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to specification.

You will join the delivery team on a major HS2 section near Aylesbury, taking ownership of daily supervision of bulk earthworks operations.
You will lead from the front, managing operators, coordinating haul routes, and ensuring plant movements, safety, and productivity targets are achieved.
This role requires a hands-on, technically minded General Foreman who can run earthworks operations efficiently, motivate teams, and maintain the highest standards on site.
Supervise daily bulk earthworks operations including cut and fill, haulage, stabilisation, and drainage
Plan and coordinate mass haul routes and plant logistics
Lead and motivate operators, subcontractors, and site labour
Deliver works safely, efficiently, and to specification
Conduct daily briefings, toolbox talks, and safety inspections
Liaise closely with Engineers and Works Managers on upcoming works
Maintain accurate daily records of progress, volumes, and productivity
Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Foreman on major bulk earthworks projects
Strong technical understanding of mass haul, production rates, and plant management
Proven experience delivering large-scale earthworks packages
Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
Confident managing large teams and high-output environments
Full UK Driving Licence
£65,000 salary + £5,000 car allowance + 10% annual bonus
Lodge allowance (£21,630 p/a) for those working away
